Is the Anti-discrimination law a tempest in a teapot?

Yesterday the Government of our country voted for the Anti-Discrimination Bill, that has been recently renamed into the Law on equal opportunities. This controversial bill has produced a lot of confusion in the society and many have been blinded to agree that it is a good bill because it opens the door to European Union.

Many religious and social organizations protested and spoke about the danger of the Anti-discrimination law based on the term of “sexual orientation”. Those who are for this law declare that it is a tempest in a teapot, meaning that it has been made a fuss about an insignificant matter. But how insignificant for the society can be the term of “sexual orientation” included in the law as a criterion of discrimination? How insignificant will be for the society when gays and lesbians will be able to get married, to adopt children, to teach our children and influence them? Will it be a tempest in a teapot?

Let us judge soberly on how equal will be the chances of Christian when they will not be allowed to name homosexuality as sin? This is what the Bible writes in this regard:

You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)(NASB)

Let us not consider this law a tempest in a teapot and do our best that it may not be adopted.

The good news for those who were enslaved into this sin of homosexuality is that God cares about them and about their eternity and He is ready to forgive them, to clean them and make them new persons. This is possible if they come to Him with repentance, willing to enter the New Covenant with Jesus Christ, when all things will be made new.
